Global Head Start Mission is responding to the huge need among children and families impacted by the COVID-19 situation. You can make a difference by joining hands with us in this effort by meeting critical needs that will help families in desperate need. Many have lost their jobs and livelihood due to the impact of the lockdowns. The critical need right now is grocery and hygiene supplies to sustain life. While the need around us is huge and we might not be able to meet every need, we should strive to do our part in extending support as much as possible.
Over 100 families reached through the grocery donation program in suburbs of Chennai and Bangalore in India.
Grocery packs for families
This is an opportunity to donate basic and essential grocery supplies for families in need.
The pack consists of rice, wheat, oil, lentils, spices along with hygiene supplies like soaps.
This should help sustain a family of four for 30 days. Each grocery pack costs Rs. 1200/-

These grocery packs have been a direct answer to my prayer in desperation that day when I realized my family will go hungry!
Mohan is an auto-rickshaw driver living the suburbs of Chennai. He lost his livelihood due to the impact of COVID-19 lockdowns in the city. Mohan and his wife have two young children. He recounts that day when he and his family realized that they had literally no food to eat. All their grocery supplies had been depleted and they had no money to buy food. They were in tears praying to God in desperation pleading for help. As a family they decided to survive by just drinking water. As they finished praying, Mohan hears a knock on the door. When he opened the door, Mohan could not believe what he saw - there were two volunteers standing there with the grocery packs that Global Head Start Mission had sent out. Mohan jumped for joy praising God for answering his prayers! Mohan goes on to say how this is nothing less than a miracle which has saved his family from starvation.
